Starr Food/Solar Eclipse/July Starr Scopes/Mercury Retrograde

Tuesday at 3:16pm/EDT 12:16pm/PDT we are experiencing a total eclipse of the Sun at 10* Cancer (my sign). Positive aspects beaming down form the Heavens make this a fun, good time type of eclipse with friends and family.  Through patience, putting your nose to the grindstone and remaining open-minded your dreams & wishes can come true. (Note: providing you heed the guidance in the aforementioned sentence.)

The energies of the New Moon last for about two weeks, however the New Moon Solar Eclipse energies stay with us for about six months. Again, do NOT let this one slip by you, you’ll have no one but yourself to blame. With the Sun conjunct the Moon (hence the term New Moon) all cards are on the table. It’s wise to throw out what isn’t working as you brainstorm your way to inventive, creative ways to take your energy down the yellow brick road to the Land of Oz, where all things are possible.

This is a time to not only do your New Moon Abundance Check but also put your goals/intentions for the next six months on paper or better yet, make a quick Treasure Map (as I call them), and watch your dreams light fire! The Sun is making a sextile (positive) aspect to Uranus (planet of surprises & freedom). Get crazy, (in a good way), take a chance on something out of your comfort zone and run with it! (I know I am, but let’s face it, that’s the norm for me.)

Saturn, ruling planet of Capricorn, is making a sweet aspect to Neptune. This is where I mentioned about all the hard work and discipline (Saturn) coming together. This will give you the extra impetus to skyrocket those dreams sailing through the Universe. Light up the sky, like nobody’s seen before. Dance like nobody’s watching, and go for the gold, all the way to Manifestation Avenue!

Talking about the Total Eclipse always reminds me of this Bonnie Tyler song from a time in my life when I was a little crazier…

You may have already started feeling the effects of Mecury Retrograde (I know I have). It’s going to start its shenanigans on Sunday, July 7th, at 7:14pm/EDT & 4:14pm/PDT at 4*26′ Leo. Stay tuned for Mercury Retrograde blog coming soon.

I love doing Solar Return charts more than any chart I do. In fact, I’ve saved all of mine for the last 20+ years! I was just looking at mine from 1995, and 1998 comparing some planetary similarities. This is what a Solar Return can tell you:

  • Your Ascendant (Rising sign) changes with each Solar Return, this lets you know your personality & sets the vibe for the year. It also is a predictor of main events. I have a friend who had Cancer (zodiac sign) as her Ascendant for the year, which denotes children if you’re of the child-bearing age. I told her she would be a grandmother this year. She told me ain’t happening, both of her daughters were told they couldn’t have children and had been trying for a while. I said “I don’t care about that, you’re going to be a grandma!” Lo and Behold, she became a grandma, TWICEBOTH of her daughters had babies that year.
