I know most of you probably thought I was going to say “THANK YOU,” as my two words. Well, you are close because as most of you know I am a HUGE proponent of saying THANK YOU! I’m one of the few snail mail “thank you” card people left on the planet. Today, however that is NOT the two words I am going to give you.
After starting Pam Grout’s new book “THANK and Grow Rich” on March 1st, Grout shares with you for thirty days a new gratitude idea to enrich your life. Today it’s the idea when “anything, and I do mean ANYTHING happens to you, regardless how horrific it may seem, just say “It’s O.K.” Period. This of course reminds me of the story of the farmer with the horse that ran away, then the son went to war, and as the myriad of these happenings continued and the townspeople would say “oh, that’s good” then something apparently bad would happen and the townspeople would say “oh, that’s bad” and the farmer would continually reply not necessarily.
You see the farmer understood that situations could change in a matter of moments and what you may perceive as “good or bad” is just your perception and can change in an instant. So goes today’s exercise to greet everything with “It’s O.K.”
I was suppose to work today and was excited about actually working an 8-hour day and making some decent money for a change, when I got the call this morning, “due to the snow we won’t be needing you today.” At first thought of course I was disappointed and disheartened that my expectations about making some money were squashed due to Mr. Snow however I decided to write five different scenarios of what I could do instead and how it might turn out differently to my favor.
One: I’m sharing this with you, hoping to inspire another human being.
