Soul Food-What Does Astrocartography & Feng Shui Have in Common?

Somehow, maybe because it was late at night and I was exhausted, my last blog was missing the introductory paragraph entirely. This is what it was “supposed” to read:

Astrocartography is taking your birth chart and placing it on the globe. Based on planetary positions worldwide, some places are better than others depending on the planetary attributes, such as Saturn for discipline and focus if you have a project you need to stay focused on. Venus for love and romance if you want to go somewhere on vacation to meet the Love of your Life/Soulmate.

Mercury is a good choice if you’re considering attending college or a higher education school. You may want to take the Magical Mystery Bus to Neptune if you’re interested in being in a delusional surrealistic cloud and high on life. Pluto is probably where I would stay away from unless you welcome complete transformation, and you’ve got to go through Hell and back to achieve it; (but some people like that kind of thing).

Mars is if you envision yourself either Luke Skywalker or Princess Leia,  the warrior type, action figure starring in a science fiction film; then I think Mars would be the perfect place for you. Uranus would be if “Into the Storm” or “Twister” is your type of film, and sudden changes and a chaotic lifestyle suits you just fine, then you’ll love it here.

Jupiter deserves a paragraph all on its own. This is the perfect geographical placement if, as a child, you grew up and imagined playing Santa Claus in the school play, and to you, every day is like Christmas, and your motto in life is “the bigger, the better.”

The Sun, that’s where you will shine; shine on – singing Gail Garnett’s “We’ll Sing in the Sunshine. The Moon, if you want to raise the family, settle down, and see yourself as a combination of Betty Crocker & Ann Landers, then a Moon placement would be perfect for you. I think I’ve covered all the planets.

What is Feng Shui? Feng Shui is the sacred placement of items in your home, restoring the Chi energy, according to the ancient practice of Feng Shui, based on the compass locations and the Bagua. This age-old study considers the Planet Earth and the energies of water, fire, earth, metal, and wood, along with sound, color, etc.

What does Astrocartography have in common with Feng Shui? If you take your local space map and place it in your home or community, it will show you the planetary energies surrounding those streets and various parts of the neighborhood along with your home. It will illustrate the best placements for your bed, office desk, or the kid’s playroom. Feng Shui has been around since ancient times, as has Astrocartography.

I welcome you to join me this upcoming weekend for an Astrocartography workshop on Sunday, April 23rd. Also, I’m doing a Fung Shui – Local Space workshop on Monday evening, April 24th. The Monday evening Feng Shui webinar is $10; that is a steal any way you slice the bread. I’ll see you all there, and I’ll leave the light on…
