Soul Food-New Moon & Spring Equinox/Get Ready, Set, Go!

We have the Spring Equinox approaching Monday, April 20^th, at 2:24pm/PDT & 5:24pm/EDT with the Moon still in Pisces. The Spring Equinox is the beginning of things, the planting of new seeds in the garden of your mind. If you haven’t already been chomping at the bit, waiting to launch your new “I can’t wait for the world to see what I have coming out of the starting gate,” then get on it, STAT.

Less than 24 hours later, we have the New Moon in Aries at 1* 10:23am/PDT & 1:23pm/EDT, starting at the beginning of Ram’s journey and preparing us for next month’s Solar Eclipse New Moon at the tail end at 29* Aries. Hold onto your rototillers because you’ve got some planting of those crops you’ve been keeping on the back burner during the cold frost season. Be Bold, Be Brave, Be Courageous, Kick-Start that Baby!

The Ram isn’t going to let you sit back on your comfy, easy chair and watch the rest of the world go by. It’s time to ignite those passions (and with Saturn in Pisces for the next 2-3 years). Don’t just walk those dreams of yours to the top CEO of your next venture; ride that racehorse in there like you just won the Kentucky Derby.

Aries isn’t shy about what it wants, and patience isn’t our virtue. I can say that because I have Aries rising and being raised by two Aries parents, I don’t think I was ever allowed to sit still. This New Moon is squaring (a challenging aspect) Mars, so you may just want to check that Ego in at the door. It may not go “my way or the highway,” like my dad used to say, more times than I care to recall.

The Good News is that it’s also forming a nice sextile (favorable) aspect with the God of the Underworld, Pluto. Rest assured, after you dust yourself off from the ashes of the volcanic eruption of the Moon-Mars match, Pluto will help clean up the remains and transform them into a solution that everyone can come to terms with (well, almost everyone) with the exception of those who forgot to check their egos at the door.
