Soul Food-New Moon Solar Eclipse-
Tuesday, October 25th, we have a New Moon Solar Eclipse in Scorpio, occurring at 3:49 am/PDT & 6:49 am/EDT at 2* Scorpio. Look at your charts to see where this lands. This is what this eclipse means to all of us.
Eclipse season usually happens twice a year, bringing two eclipses each. The maximum per year is seven (which is rare). We had two prior eclipses this year, April 30th and May 15th. Go back to see what was happening in your life at that time. Eclipses bring up parts of your Soul that is necessary for continued Soul growth. Depending on the sign of the Eclipse and the house in your astrology chart where the Eclipse is happening are the areas in your life that need further introspection.
This Eclipse is making a conjunction (favorable aspect) with Venus, the Goddess of beauty, love, and money; Venus co-rules Taurus and Libra. This new moon eclipse is happening in the 8th sign of the Zodiac, Scorpio. Scorpio and the 8th house bring to our attention matters dealing with sex, death and rebirth, taxes, and other people’s money (government, inheritance, etc.). Scorpio is also known for its recuperative abilities, research, and digging qualities, along with purging and letting go of what is no longer needed for the Soul’s growth.
Mercury, Messenger of the Gods, is also invited to the party. However, it isn’t playing so nice. It’s part of a T-square (challenging aspect) with Pluto, control, and Pallas, the calculated planner. Our lesson with this aspect is to communicate in a deeper way than just skimming the superficial surface. At the same time, Mars has been in its shadow period and is about to station retrograde on Halloween. (see my previous blog on this Mars Retrograde and how to communicate).
We are being asked to spend some soul-searching hours and days reflecting and letting go of our control issues while trusting the FLOW of the Universe and God. This isn’t the time to force issues or try to fit the square peg in a round hole. Try as you may; forced things will erupt sooner or later and are never pretty.
