Soul Food-New Moon Solar Eclipse/Saturn in Pisces; what this means for YOU

This Thursday, April 20th, we have a double-New Moon in Aries at 12:12 am 29* 50′ Aries. The last time we had a New Moon Solar Eclipse was in 2015; go back to what was happening in your life back then, the theme will be similar, same church, different pew. This new moon eclipse is widely conjunct with Jupiter (favorable aspect; but with a wide orb not as powerful).
The story of the eclipse, however, is its square to Pluto, King of the Underworld. Pluto is all about power & control. It’s in your hands how this eclipse plays out. If you can relinquish your need to control and avoid the imminent power struggles, you may just come out of this unscathed. However, if you’re not willing to cut your losses and walk away, there may be a potential for manipulation and domineering forces. You’ve been forewarned.
The good news is that whatever side of the fence you’re on, there will be TRANSFORMATION! A death and a rebirth; that’s a given. It’s time to do a thorough inventory of your life, your habits, your addictions, your relationships, whichever house this eclipse lands in your chart, breathe, meditate, and take your time. Pluto is never in a hurry, but his cards have been called to the table with this new moon solar eclipse.

Here’s my rundown on Saturn in Pisces:
Saturn is known as the Lesson Maker, the Task Master & also known as the Disciplinarian. Wherever Saturn is in your chart is where those lessons are.
Saturn returns to the same sign every 29.5 years (give or take with the Retrogrades). The last time Saturn was in Pisces was in May 1993-April 1996. So look back to what was going on in your life around those dates to get an idea of what may be headed your way.
Saturn entered Pisces from March 7, 2023, to May 24, 2025, with a brief Retrograde back into Aquarius from August 31, 2025, to February 13, 2026.
Saturn rewards hard work; you will be rewarded if you’ve done the job and learned your lessons. It’s not the horrible planet that its reputation has painted it to be.
Saturn has just spent the last 6-7 years in Capricorn & Aquarius, where it feels right at home. In Pisces, it will feel a little softer, boundaries will be loosened, so be aware, & Saturn might suffer from a lack of logic & give way to illusions & fantasies. The best advice I can give you is to go with the flow.
What does this mean for your Zodiac sign?
Aries 12th This might be the time for the Ram to take a hint from Simon & Garfunkel; slow down, you move too fast…Maybe some R&R to reflect on what you’re looking for over the next few years?
Taurus 11th The Bull will be a wee bit more discerning regarding friends & associations in the next couple of years. Just remember that when one door closes, another one opens.
Gemini 10th The Twins usually have a duality going on when it comes to their careers. For the next couple of years, you might want to condense all that split energy & dedicate yourself to putting your energy into one basket.
Cancer 9th This might be when the Crab decides to take a trip overseas, studying the Metaphysical and Philosophical views of other cultures. Stay the course & don’t side-step the process.
Leo 8th The Lion is going through a transformation of the Ego for the next couple of years; give yourself a reality check & let go of some of that control over that Jungle of yours & share the power.
Virgo 7th Balance in ALL your relationships is the key for the Virgo to play fair & have everyone on board; put the word COMPROMISE into your vocabulary for the next couple of years & everyone on the playing field will be happy. Love for the sake of love is the true meaning of the word.
Libra 6th Your day-to-day routine might be a mix of recognizing where you need to set the structural limits mixed in with clouds of uncertainty. Don’t spend your days/nights trying to decide; go with the flow.
Scorpio 5th For once, the Scorpion might be reining in all those extremist qualities regarding desire & passion in the romance arena, which isn’t a bad thing. Where there are children involved, discipline with love is always best.
Sagittarius 4th The Centaur will need to curb its adventurous streak in the next couple of years & land that parachute in the home/family neck of your woods. It’s time to put in the work where your roots are concerned.
Capricorn 3rd The Goat is usually straight & to the point in its communications, & isn’t one to mince words. However, it might behoove you to put a little tenderness in your poetic justice over the next few years.
Aquarius 2nd You’re just the type to come up with unconventional ways to save that nest egg of yours. Yep, Saturn is asking you to pull back on your freedom-loving spending habits. I’ve got faith in you; you’ll devise some ingenious ways.
Pisces 1st Saturn is anchoring its boat in the Seas of the Fish. This might be a good time to try new disciplines to keep your fins in shape. Water Aerobics, anyone?
