How’s that Working out for You?

If you’re anything like me, you might think you can control the outcome of certain situations. LOL! Part of me doesn’t really believe that I can control the outcome of certain situations because I know that’s ludicrous. However, there is another part of me that seems to stay with something waaaaaaaay past the expiration date.

I have the tenacity of a pit bull, and because I’m a Cancer the Crab (Astrology), I tend to hold on to things with those pincer claws of mine longer than necessary.

As many of you know, I’ve had my granddaughter since last June (the date of my solar return). We’re going on eight months together, and it’s been a learning curve, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world. Taking in a 12-year-old teenager I hadn’t seen in the last seven years (as I’m pushing 70) wasn’t exactly at the top of my bucket list! However, as I previously mentioned, life doesn’t exactly go as planned.

How do we navigate through this thing we call LIFE? What I’ve learned in my pushing 70-plus years on this planet (I’ll be 69 this June, but I feel I’ve aged triple these last few months); is to take your damn hands off the damn steering wheel!

Look up at the sky, close your eyes, and say, “Spirit, take this from me,” and leave the driving to God. Greyhound’s bus slogan is “Leave the driving to us.”

Or take it from Allstate and picture those hands as God’s hands. “You’re in good hands with us.”

It’s not easy to let go of control, you say. LOL – of course it isn’t, because we don’t like it when we’re not in control! WHY? I’ll tell you why: because a part of us thinks we know better than anyone else, including God. YES; sometimes, WE think we know better than God.

I’m here to tell you, we don’t know Jack ****. IF you don’t believe that, you haven’t lived long enough to experience life’s ups and downs and the roller coasters. Life works out a lot easier when we let go of the steering wheel, or as I’ve written in prior blogs, let go of the damn oars.

Hicks – Let Go of Control

Let the damn boat float down the damn stream the way it’s meant to. Sure, you’ll hit a rock here and there; you might even hit the hydraulic hole down the river of life occasionally. But if you keep the faith, ask your angels for help, and talk to your spiritual beings, whoever they are.

Know that there is an answer/solution to everything in life. If it hasn’t worked out yet, it’s not time. Divine timing is exactly what it says, “DIVINE timing, not YOUR timing.

We just had a Lunar New Moon this past weekend; it’s time for a fresh way of thinking and a different way of doing things. I would love to hear from you. Let me know about your past experiences. Where (in your life) did you finally let go of control, and things worked out wonderfully, even though it wasn’t in the script you wrote?

Rosie and I wish you a wonderful Valentine’s Day.
