Soul Food-The “C” word is Killing your Relationships/Eclipse Season has made its Mark
My apologies for being lost in the soup of life and behind on my Soul Food blogs. Since I took guardianship of Rosie in June, I’m still trying to get caught up with life itself. Raising a 12-year-old at the ripe old age of 68 years was not on “my” agenda. Hello Universe, it came knocking on my door. The Solar Eclipse (Libra) hit us on Oct. 14th & its Partner in Crime, the Lunar Eclipse, hit us on Oct. 28th (Taurus/Scorpio). If you’ve survived both of those, you’re doing better than most. I personally was hit badly by both, but am the wiser for it.
Let’s start with the Solar Eclipse; here our relationships were being tested, both personal/business. Go back to the April 20th (Solar Eclipse) & May 5th (Lunar Eclipse) to see what was happening in your life around those two prior eclipses to give you a glimpse of the most recent October eclipses that we just went through. Control is the “C” word that is making or breaking your relationships with yourself and others.
The Solar Eclipse (Oct. 14th, Libra) is asking us to discern between the need to take care of others, thus ignoring our own need to nurture our Soul. We must learn the balance of walking the tightrope and integrating both sides of the Yin/Yang into our everyday existence. The key here is to understand what your Soul’s purpose is and not be drawn in or distracted by what appears to glisten on the opposite side of the road. Let go of the inner need to control the details and trust that everything is in Divine Order.
Most of us cling to things that have long outlived their purpose in our lives for fear of being without. Let me share something with you; I’ve been in a friendship relationship for years upon years; and have wanted to move on because the energy was toxic and not uplifting my Soul in the way it’s meant to be nourished. For fear of making the “break,” I hung on; feeling more drained and upset with myself for NOT staying true to my metaphysical beliefs and my own moral code of ethics of how I feel my soul needs to be fed.
While I debated over this issue for the past couple of years, the Universe made the choice for me, and there was an abrupt, violent ending of this friendship; on one side of the fence, (I was able to keep my peace). This occurred during this last Lunar Eclipse (Taurus/Scorpio). I was prepared and not surprised, especially with the planetary energy of Mars (War/Control) conjunct with the planet of communication (Mercury), both in intense controlling Scorpio. Not to be outdone by the conjunction of the Moon (emotions) and Uranus (sudden, abrupt, out-of-the-blue) energies (both in Taurus), forming a huge opposition between the Taurean & Scorpioinc energies.
While it wasn’t the most pleasant experience of my Sunday, I am relieved that Divine timing, once again, stepped in and knew exactly what it was doing. Now, I can brush off the dust from the nuclear fallout of humans engaged in an emotional battle and move forward with my existence. When faced with these types of energies and situations, the EGO tends to get in the way, wanting to CONTROL (that “C” word) and cause damage to all who will listen.
My advice to you is to “KNOW” your core values, your mission in life, and your Soul’s path, and let the Universe do its job when you’ve forgotten yours. Being aware of our value systems and our core beliefs is a huge asset in keeping us from falling off the wayward path of no return. Breathe, Meditate, Choose Peace at all times, and carry on.
