Soul Food/New Moon; Embrace Change/Last Call for Signup Astro Classes
Tomorrow morning at (7:36 am EST & 4:36 am PST) at 9*Aquarius, when you wake up, we will have had the first New Moon of 2025, the second New Moon after the Winter Solstice, which starts the Lunar Chinese New Year year of the Wood Snake. The Aquarius New Moon encourages us to embrace innovative technology and the dance of transformation with its close alignment to Pluto. This will affect the fixed signs closely: Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius.
As with all New Moons, a New Moon in Aquarius represents a time to start something new, set your intentions, vision map your goals, and plant your seeds for the future. Aquarius is known for its rebellious attitude. It’s uniqueness, it represents change. It’s innovative, thinking outside of the box. Get ready to embrace this new way of thinking, get excited, do something different, go outside your comfort zone, and explore the unconventional path you were always scared to tread. This is a time for personal growth and transformation, a time to step into a new version of yourself.
As mentioned earlier, this New Moon forms a close alignment with Pluto. Pluto is the transformation planet of the Zodiac, a profound transformation deeper than the eye can see. This alignment with Pluto during the New Moon amplifies its transformative energy, inviting us to face our demons and confront what we may have suppressed and hidden deeper than we realize. It’s a powerful opportunity to let go of your attachments to the past and be ready to be transformed.
This alignment also strongly connects to the Snake’s symbolism in the Chinese New Year, The Wood-Snake. The Snake is all about death and rebirth, as Pluto is represented by Western astrology with the Eagle and the Phoenix, the burning of the ashes, the death and the resurgence, the Snake shedding its skin and releasing what no longer serves us to renovate and transform our lives. Check out my blog on the Lunar New Year of the Wood Snake.
Be ready for radical changes. As mentioned earlier, Aquarius is about the rebel, the unconventional, bucking tradition. Pluto’s transformative Energy invites us to face our demons and confront what we may have suppressed and hidden deeper than we realize. Let go of your attachments to the past. Get ready to be transformed.
There is another surprise with this New Moon: the planet Jupiter, affectionately known as the Santa Claus of the Zodiac, is aligning with Mercury. Mercury, the planet of communication and understanding, will help us comprehend the process and integrate these new renovations into our lives. This alignment is a powerful tool for empowerment; Jupiter enhances our ability to think big, think vision board, dream big, or go home.
With the Mercury, this alignment encourages our intellectual growth as well. Embrace these changes with courage and keep an open mind. Wait, there’s more to come; Venus, in conjunction with Neptune, forms a benefic alignment with Mars, forming a sextile with Uranus, another favorable alignment. It doesn’t get any better than this folks. We have the opportunity to release the illusions that we hold about love in our relationships. We can now let go of everything that prevents us from moving forward. It’s time to open our hearts. It’s time to forgive ourselves and others and, in doing so, pave the way for healing and new beginnings.
Mars is still retrograding through Cancer, a term in astrology that refers to a planet’s apparent backward motion from our perspective on Earth. This can often bring up unresolved issues or challenges from the past. Ask me about it. I’m a Cancer, and trust me, I’ve been on a roller coaster ride. But Mars is forming an admirable alignment with Venus and Neptune. This will help all of us in relationship matters honor our needs and those of others.
Uranus is now moving direct, which, alas, means moving forward. We can now make the necessary changes to wake up society and our consciousness and see things from a different perspective. With this new Energy in this Aquarius New Moon, I invite you to step forward and sign up for my Astrology Made Easy classes, which start on February 6. These classes will give you the knowledge and tools to navigate the changes and transformations ahead. Embody change.
