There’s so much going on in the world today, that we ‘almost’ forgot about the Coronavirus. We’ve got eclipse season upon us, first being tomorrow (Friday) June 5th at 3:12pm/EDT & 12:12pm/PDT at 15* Sagittarius opposing the Gemini Sun. Friday’s eclipse is the first in a series of fire and air, Sagittarius and Gemini, and the June 21 and July 5th eclipses are the closing curtain for Cancer and Capricorn until 2027 (thank God, me being a Cancer with a Capricorn Midheaven).
We’re leaving the security of the nest, (Cancer) and the groundedness of the Earth, (Capricorn) and moving on up and out into the freedom of the wide open spaces (fire) and opening our minds (open-minded) and to new adventures, new ways of thinking (air).
Astrology is mirroring what is happening, (i.e. Coronavirus) we have to adapt to a new normal, no more going back to the “way we were.” With the moon in Sagittarius, the Sun in Gemini, and forming a tight square to Mars in Pisces, this is screaming “hello, wake-up out there, the times they are a changing.” The only mutable (adaptable) sign that’s not joined the party is Virgo, but don’t count her out, she’ll show up late this summer.
In the restaurant industry we have a term, “on the fly” which basically means somebody screwed up and the customer didn’t get the right order and NOW we need that food coming out of the kitchen “on the fly” in other words, like yesterday! That’s what we need to do here folks, no more dilly-dallying around, be ready to change your agenda in a heartbeat, otherwise, that ship has sailed, leaving you on the shore waving good-bye!
With Venus, Pluto, Saturn & Jupiter still in Retrograde issues from the past are showing up that we haven’t completely dealt with. Think back six years ago, with the unlawful killings of black men that set the country on a rampage, Tamar Rice (here in Cleveland, OH), Michael Brown Jr. (Ferguson, MO), and Eric Garner (Staten Island, NY) just to name a few. If something isn’t dealt with in a manner the Universe thinks is complete, it’ll bring it on home again and again and again until we get it right.
The answer isn’t fighting violence with violence, which some of the demonstrations did just that by setting police cars on fire, vandalizing and looting storefronts. So, here we go again, we’re in lockdown, the cities set curfews, no one is allowed on the streets! When are we going to learn? What will it take? These lessons won’t go away, heed the warning or you ain’t seen nothing yet.
Although, there were peaceful demonstrations, and people stood together to protest what is unjust and unfair, it’s unfortunate that the media likes to publicize the violence, that’s what sells papers and makes the news, and all the social media platforms. For those of you who know me, you are aware I gave up television in 1989, (30 years ago) along with reading the newspaper. What you focus on becomes a part of you, the Universe is made up of energy, everything and I do mean everything is energy, get with the program here.
OK, I better stop or I’ll get really carried away on my soapbox. This lunar eclipse is asking us, begging us to open to a higher awareness here, Mars & Neptune in Pisces, it is up to you and me to make a choice. Like begets like! What do you want to see happen? Don’t make me repeat Ghandi here, “be the change you want to see in the world.” Take action, but not by being destructive, do something constructive. I’m a strong believer in nothing happens by coincidence, everything happens for a reason. It’s your choice, and your choices define your life.
