Soul Food-How to Get Your MoJo Back

July 5, 2018by Eva Starr0

Is there a kink in your garden hose? That’s not a bad thing, because if it weren’t for those times when we just don’t feel in the flow, or we’re stuck in a rut, and/or there’s a huge log jam in our creativity we wouldn’t appreciate when we’ve really got our groove on!

Your spiritual juices need to flow, and your chakras need to be open to be in alignment with the almighty JuJu of the Universe! It’s like the garden hose, when there’s too many kinks in it, the water just ain’t aflowin’ baby!

When you’re in the flow, synchronicities just keep happening one after another, people who cut you off on the street just don’t bother you, you like yourself and even love life! Your creativity is flowing like the most powerful river in the world, the Amazon.

Here are some quick tips to get your MoJo back:

  1. Be Gentle with Yourself: I have a tendency to feel guilty about when I’m in this place, and sometimes make it worse by wallowing in SELF-PITY #101, which fortunately I don’t stay parked there too long… life is too short. Realize you’re in this space, have a piece of chocolate cake, not the whole damn thing, and tell yourself something nice about you that you love, then another, and another…you’ll be moving up the ladder from SELF-PITY to ROCK-STAR in no time!
  2. Write a letter to a person who means a lot to you, who has helped you through thick & thin, you’ll be grooving on the gratitude boat before you know it. BTW if you are not keeping a daily gratitude journal, you’re obviously not reading my Soul Food. GRATITUDE is Metaphysical principle #1!
  3. Get in the Zone: You know what I’m talkin’ about…when hours go by and you’re so immersed into something you don’t stop to eat, pee or whatever. For me it’s when I’m doing Astrology, or on a cleaning frenzy, or fishing and just taking in all of nature. Like John Assaraf said, “Do more of what you love, less of what you tolerate, and none of what you hate!”
  4. Question your stories? Go back to Byron Katie “Is it true? Is it really true?” Like I’ve always said, if you don’t like your story, make up a NEW one! It’s all made up anyway, life is a movie, you’re the director and you wrote the script! If you don’t like the ending, change it…what are you waiting for???
  5. Be Brave! Take a Risk! If you don’t fail a hundred or so times first, you’ll never find out how great you can be! I went to San Diego with no cash, no job, no place to live, didn’t know anyone, and had no clue what I was going to do. The only thing I knew is that “I was going to do it, (whatever “it” was) …so get yourself to the end of that plank and jump!

Thank you all for your continued love & support,

Quit ‘Should-ing’ on Yourself
