Soul Food-Full Moon/Taurus-Release & Let Go

lunar eclipse taurus scorpioToday’s current event is the Taurus Moon opposing the Sun in Scorpio. This means that the Moon, which is currently in the astrological sign of Taurus, is in direct opposition to the Sun, which is in the sign of Scorpio. This occurred this morning and at 8:19 am on the East Coast, and for my west coast friends at 5:19 am at 13° Taurus.

Mars also entered Sagittarius yesterday, Tuesday morning. Sagittarius is all about freedom and adventure.  Think of skydiving, jumping from a plane, as an adventurous event.  I never saw the point of jumping out of a perfectly good airplane; it just isn’t my cup of tea. However, understanding that Mars, the planet of action and energy, is now in Sagittarius—a sign known for its adventurous spirit—can help us comprehend the current astrological climate. Find which house Sagittarius occupies in your birth chart. As for myself, Sagittarius falls in the ninth house, which represents metaphysics, foreign travel, and higher learning.  I know exactly where and what I need to focus my Martian energy on this month.

Mars will stay there for around six weeks, until it enters the sign of our Goat Capricorn on December 15.  Then, Mars will adopt a more rational and realistic, business-oriented approach.  For you Capricorns, you know exactly what I’m talking about.  Mark your calendars; you’ll love using the Capricornian Martian energy to manifest your business goals by December.

Now let’s get back to today’s full Moon. Taurus is ruled by the planet Venus, encompassing beauty, harmony, and pleasure, to name a few. Where Taurus lies in our chart represents our value systems, our security, our assets, and what brings us joy.

During this Taurus Full Moon phase, enjoy the good times, invite some friends over for a gourmet meal of Filet Mignon with Black Truffle Bearnaise, Potato Pave, followed by a Molten Lava Cake.

We recall the late September period when Mars was in Scorpio, squaring Pluto, the God of the underworld.  That was akin to going to war without your rifle.  Now that we’ve moved past that, Mars in Sagittarius is forming a sextile (a favorable aspect) to Pluto in Aquarius. Thursday, November 6. Gather around the fireplace, tell stories, after you’ve had the gourmet meal.

This is also a time to take advantage of any opportunities to influence your outside world and surroundings.  Mars in Sagittarius does not fear when sextiling Pluto. Take a back seat, Mr. Pluto.

Also on Thursday, November 6, Lady Venus enters Scorpio.  Scorpio is about passion and control. Lady Venus is more about the secretive, uncensored, alluring Goddess when she enters the House of Scorpio.
So you’ve got until December 1 before she moves into Sagittarius.  Live out your fantasies of being a seductive mistress.  However, remember, Scorpio is about power and control. Use your power wisely, don’t be the Black Widow spider.

Uranus, the Planet of unconventional, sudden, out-of-the-blue events, is settling back into Taurus, making itself at home, where it will stay until next Spring, April 2026.  Over the next six months, Uranus is asking us to revisit the Taurean things that mean so much to our enjoyment and pleasures of life.  Things that bring us beauty, and to love for the sake of love. Go back to when Uranus spent that time in Taurus (May 15, 2018 – July 7, 2025) before it moved back into Gemini.

Mercury is about to turn Retrograde on Sunday, November 9.  Stay tuned for my Mercury Retrograde Survival Guide, which I’ll be sending out in a few days. This guide will equip you with the knowledge and tools to navigate this period with confidence and grace.

Back to today’s current event, the Taurus Full Moon.  This is a time of letting go.  A time of releasing what no longer serves who you are and who you are becoming.  Ask yourself this question as you look around your home, your surroundings, and your closets.  Do you own those items in your home, or do they own you? This is a time for deep introspection and self-discovery.

It is a time of release; we are not only letting go of the material things in our closets, but we’re also clearing the skeletons from our minds.  The items you are holding on to that you haven’t looked at, the clutter inside your head, not just inside your closets.  It’s time to take courage-up and PURGE! Remember, decluttering is not just about getting rid of things; it’s about reclaiming your space and your peace of mind.

As a Cancer, I like to collect things.  It’s all about the memories things hold for me.  I have a memory associated with just about every item in my home.  I can remember the name of the thrift shop and the city I was in. If someone else had given it to me, I could remember all those details.

I also need to let go.  You know the old cliché, “If you haven’t used it in the last six months, it’s time to let it go.

How this Full Moon affect your Zodiac sign.
