Soul Food-Full Moon in Scorpio/Take Back Your Power
Full Moon (in Scorpio) thoughts Tuesday evening (4-23-24) before bed.
I have so many thoughts these days that I’m unsure which ones are real or which I’m making up. I “DO” know that they’re all mine- not in anyone’s head but my own. However, they may be in your head because we all share the same collective consciousness. We all breathe the same air. We all laugh, we all cry, we all hurt, and we all wish we were somewhere else at times. But then again, if everything is just “an illusion,” as it says in the Course in Miracles, then “what’s it all about”? Alfie?
I do not mean to sound desolate here; there are times (most times) when I have questions inside my being- real questions- searching for real answers. Then I pick up my pen and write. Sometimes I pick up my phone (like I did tonight), and nobody’s home – or they answer, but it’s not the perfect time. Then I ponder and think, “How many times have I been there, answered the phone, listened, held space, or whatever it takes?”
Well, that’s “YOU,” the voice in my head says, and everyone is “NOT” you! These thoughts I’m having tonight, at nearly Midnight, are mine alone. I’m not unique in that respect. Although the EGO wants me to think I’m unique, the other half of me shouts out, “Wait just one minute, cowboy—you are unique. There’s no one quite like Eva Starr.”
So, which is it? One book says, “Be yourself – do YOU like nobody else does YOU! ” Then another says, “Whoa Nellie, S – L – O – W the F*** down. Just who do you think you are?”
Enough for now—it’s time to close my eyes. I’ll start my day tomorrow morning and hopefully write a blog about the Full Moon in Scorpio on Tuesday at 7:49 PM EDT. However, I’m way behind in life, so hopefully, the blog will come out.
The Full Moon in Scorpio’s effects will last until the next New Moon, May 7th (dependent on time zone). This full moon is squaring (challenging aspect) Pluto, which is Stationary. Translated, it means Pluto, the God of the Underworld, is standing still, and it’s not moving (at the moment) come Hell or High Water! Do I make myself clear? This square to the Full Moon (Scorpio Moon/Taurus Sun) energies allows us emotional growth and spiritual development. Of course, you could decide to take on Pluto by yourself (I wouldn’t advise it) and end up with more battle scars than before you started the War. Let me know how that works out for you.
In other words, this Full Moon’s energies are complete with intensity, power struggles, control, and passion. However, there is good news: we just had a Jupiter-Uranus conjunction on Saturday, which is lending its beneficence to the mix. Use this Pluto Full Moon energy for transformation and take back your power. Reclaiming your power is necessary if you’ve been caught in a manipulative power struggle.
Scorpio and Pluto go deep—waaaaay deep, below the Earth’s core, and definitely below your core. It’s a time for transformation. Quit throwing dirt over the grave. You’ve buried those feelings for way too long now. It’s time to bring them up to the surface. You have the choice. You can either deal with them in your own way, or the Universe will show you how, and the Universe doesn’t always play fair. This is not only the time to eliminate bad habits but to transform yourself into the butterfly that’s been waiting to come out of the cocoon. This is a metamorphosis of your feelings, a time to come out of your cocoon and fly, baby fly. This doesn’t come without growing pains, but you’ve got the Jupiter/Uranus conjunction (mentioned earlier) to help buffer the being hit by a Mack-truck effect.
Remember, the Scorpionic energy represents death & rebirth, the Phoenix rising from the ashes. Amazing revelations are likely, and what better time to do the work than Spring? Light your Full Moon candle and do your releasing ritual. I’ve already lit a red candle and burned a piece of paper into my red cauldron! I’m serious about this Full Moon. As you release your “stuff,” say this: “I am releasing all that no longer serves who I am and who I am becoming!” BAM!
Here are your Full Moon colors, oils, and herbs.
Candle colors: red, purple, gold
Crystals: rainbow moonstone, amazonite, selenite
Herbs: rosemary, basil, vanilla, mugwort
Oils: pine, vanilla, rosemary, basil, mugwort.
What this Full Moon means for You
