Soul Food-The December Cold Full Moon Meets Mars/Take a Stand
This coming Wednesday, Dec. 7th, at 8:08 pm/PST & 11:08 pm/EST, we have a Full December Cold Moon in Gemini 16* opposing the Sun. This is a rare celestial assemblage because Mars is retrograde and is hidden by the Moon. Thus, understanding how your primal Yoda warrior shows up allows you to reflect on how this might affect others and gives you a chance to bring out the Cinderella part of you and forgive those whom you perceive as the wicked step-sisters/stepmother in your life. On a positive note, this alignment between the Moon and Mars gives you the courage, passion, and zest for life to take action in your life. Standing up for the causes you hold dear to you, fighting for yourself and your family. Please keep in mind this as you suit up in your Simba attire, tone down the brashness, beware of impulsive actions, and steer away from sharp objects and fast-driving Bugatti Bolides (do you even know anyone who owns one of them?)
You’re better off expending your energy on sports, a brisk jog in the park, or sex if you have a consenting partner. Take this Martian energy and spend it on someone you are emotionally attached to (Moon), clean your mother’s house, rake the leaves, or cook them an unexpected culinary delight. Hell, you could come over and clean my floors; God knows I clean them more than anyone else I know on the Planet.
This Full Moon provides another opportunity in the Celestial bag of tricks. If you’re one of those individuals with a lot of Martian energy in your chart (and I’m not talking little green men), quick to anger, sharp-tongued words, and risk-taking activities, especially involving speed, here’s your chance to see how that’s working for you or not? Self-introspection is healthy for the Soul, and a Full Moon is an excellent time to “release what no longer serves who you are and who you are becoming.”
It’s a great time to de-clutter as you prepare for the New Moon on December 23rd, just two days before Christmas. Just think how good that’ll make you feel by the time Santa makes his way down your chimney. It’ll make Santa happy too; he won’t have to trip over anything putting those presents underneath the Christmas tree. Use that extra energy to bake Santa some Gingerbread cookies and some Reindeer cookies for Rudolph and his crew.
