What I’ve Discovered During the Coronavirus:
- Fear is a fundamental element for our self-preservation. Without it we are defenseless creatures with small chances in the face of the many threats that surround us. ~ Ruda’ Lande’
- Fear can unite us as a collective, coming together as did our ancestors, and tribal communities, fighting the elements or whatever disaster of the times. It can bring us together if we come from a place of love and create solutions and innovative ideas to move through the fear as one consciousness then we are a force to be reckoned with. However, this is not what I’m seeing everywhere, this saddens me…
- Some people have chosen to buy into the fear, hoarding, fighting, being selfish, running from the fear into an unknown abyss of more fear and isolation, atrocities are carried out because of fear, this concerns me…
- The same fear which is preventing us from a virotic holocaust will only become destructive if it starts paralyzing us. ~ Ruda’ Lande’
- We can either lock ourselves down in a sea of selfishness or we can come from a place of compassion and offer a helping hand, a comforting word, and choose to see the world from the eyes of a child
- It’s your choice in the face of fear to choose which side of the fence you stand on
I’d like to share a story with you, yesterday my daughter Shayna’s girlfriend called me up and asked me “what are you doing around 8pm tonight?” Jokingly I said, “I don’t know, let me check my social calendar.” Then I said, “Looks like I’m free, what’s up?” She then proceeded to tell me her sister in New York, her mom & dad in Jacksonville, FL, my daughter & her in Massillon, were going to Zoom & I was invited. We Zoomed for two hours+. We all laughed, talked, drank, except me, I’m on NO ALCOHOL since just recently being released from the hospital with Pancreatitis. However, I found a way, I took this big ass wine glass that I have & put cranberry juice in it & joined in the fun. I think I actually got pretty buzzed; I had the time of my life. That’s what people do who care about each other.
